this weekend i'm off to D.C. to visit stephen, but the following weekend natalie will be away and i'll be alone at home, so i've decided to devote that weekend to gift-wrapping for the holidays. so exciting! i've been hard at work making lists, buying supplies and trying to dream up ways to show people i love them around christmas and channukah without spending money i don't have. i realize that this just takes a little extra effort and lots of creativity - and i'm trying to make it into something fun, rather than something stressful. i'm actually semi-looking forward to having that weekend alone with the apartment all to myself... although i think i have to go down to hull on saturday night for a girls' christmas dinner....
...but neither here nor there. i've decided to make candles for everyone - that smell sweet and look beautiful. i bought special tins that i'm going to fill with melted beeswax (scented with essential oils) and make my own collage designs that i'll first cut out, then scan into the printer, and print onto adhesive paper then wrap around the candles. now i'm just figuring out how to wrap them.
