when i win the lottery....

... or get my first truly high-paying job (which seems lightyears away... and frankly maybe less attainable than the lottery), the very first thing i am going to buy, silly as it may seem, is a Diane Von Furstenberg dress.  maybe even an entire DVF wardrobe, if i win big.


to me, DVF is one America's best fashion brands.  when the company launched 40 years ago, the product was focused on the working woman with style.  the original wrap dress is still at the core of their designs today, and their target consumer is unchanged.  every season i am inspired by her collections - they are sophisticated, colorful, progressive and still timeless.  her 2011 pre-fall is just delicious:
